Carthage’s musical days are back. The program for this 2023 edition was unveiled this Tuesday, January 10.

This eighth edition bringing together music professionals from the Arab world and Africa, will be held from January 21 to 28, 2023. After their absence in 2022, the JMCs are back without the competition and this for the second consecutive edition. Reported in 2020 due to the global health crisis, the JMCs had taken place in their 7th edition in December 2021, in hybrid mode and without competition.

The program for this 2023 edition was unveiled yesterday during a press briefing held at the Cité de la Culture. In total, 40 shows from 18 Arab and African countries, including 20 shows by Tunisian artists will be held.

The JMC 2023 JMC steering committee is chaired by singer Dorsaf Hemdani, artistic director and shows will be given to the Grande Salle du Théâtre de l’Opéra, the Théâtre des Régions and the Rio Salle in downtown Tunis.

The price of tickets will vary between 10 and 25 dinars while the revenues will be intended to cover the spending of the shows.
