The Ahmed Hajeri exhibition ends today at the Kalyste gallery. A highlight of the artistic season organized by Synda Ben Khelil.
For the Ahmed Hajeri exhibition, the Kalysté gallery did not do things by half to pay the great tribute that it deserves to an essential artist, in the line of the greatest.
After a brilliant opening on June 14, the exhibition which has around thirty works of various formats, continued successfully. Yesterday was finishing in the presence of Ahmed Hajeri who for the occasion, signed and dedicated the superb catalog of the exhibition.
Sobre, designed by Oumaima Jerbi with bright photographs by Nicolas Fauqué, this catalog was produced by the Kalyste gallery with the support of 32 bis.
The work is introduced by Wassim Hajeri, the son of the artist who very poetically, finds the right words to present Ahmed Hajeri. The catalog is articulated on two texts, one of Ali Louati and the other of Nadia Chalbi.
Entitled “In the sources of an original disaster”, Ali Louati’s contribution takes up an article published in the Revue Cimaise in 1998. Nadia Chalbi’s contribution carries the title “The key to dreams: the poetic universe of Ahmed Hajeri” and takes up the artist’s journey based on several interviews carried out the last two years. The two articles are published in Arabic and French.
The work is completed by a state of the artist’s personal and collective exhibitions. Entitled “Le Jardin de l’Esprit”, this catalog is thus the most recent work to be devoted to Ahmed Hajeri.
While the exhibition hosted by the Kalyste gallery now unrolls its last sequence, it is to salute the success of this event and the remarkable background work carried out by Synda Ben Khelil at the helm of this cultural space.
