The curtain fell on the 10th edition of the Jazz Festival in Carthage which has come to an end on Sunday April 19 with the shows of the Tunisian Zied Bagga and the American guitarist Lucky Peterson.
In a filled room and an audience of the big evenings, the two artists succeeded each other on stage during an evening which lasted more than two hours. The first part of the evening was provided by the Tunisian Zied Bagga, accompanied by Omar El Ouaer on the piano, Marwen Soltana in Lower and Youssef Soltana on drums, where he presented his last album. A show that only lasted 40 minutes.
Lucky Peterson vibrates the Congress Palace
The second part of the evening was more intense with the climb on stage of the American guitarist Lucky Peterson who ignited the room and even offered himself a small descent into the audience. A breathtaking show, despite a small incident at the beginning with a power cut. The artist played blues and not jazz, under the emotional gaze of the director Mourad Mathari and The Ms. Latifa Lakhdhar culture presents during this closing evening.
Jazz in Carthage 2015 ends despite the fears of the festival director who had declared to Webdo that “we fought against fate”, before his start, with certain unforeseen cancellations and the risk of seeing this festival canceled following the attack on the Bardo on March 18.
