It is in fine rain that the concert “Tunisian vibes” of the Kyle Schafer Trio began on Friday June 2 at 7:30 p.m.
It was at Fondouk El Haddadine, in the beating heart of the Sfax medina, in front of a bigarry audience, young and less young, mobilized for the trio tour composed of Kyle Schafer on the piano, Andreas Wealti on the double bass, Malek Lakhoua on drums and with the Belgian saxophonist Pierre Viana.
It is just after the call to prayer of the Maghreb that the musicians are on stage, in a persistent rain which did not prevent the public from communing with the first notes of piano which rose in the sky of the southern capital.
Solidarity with the musicians, the majority of spectators stayed in the rain while part of the public was sheltered under the arcades of the former Fonderk des Forgerons.
This weather which could be perceived as unfavorable, on the contrary united the public and the artists, created a complicity which carried the trio throughout a memorable concert.
Tunisian vibrations will do the rest with a subtle and powerful jazz that will give rise to a formidable ovation at the end of the concert.
The Sfaxian public will not soon forget this evening lived in the jazzing in the Rain! The launch tour of the album “Tunisian Vibes” continues this evening in Bizerte, with new sensations and the prospect of meeting new audiences.
