It is between poetry, mysticism and spirituality that the Cervantes Institute celebrates this evening the International Day of Poetry with a friendly and literary evening.
The figures of Ibn Arabi and Saint John of the Cross will be at the center of an exciting intellectual dialogue on Friday March 21 at 9:30 p.m. at the headquarters of the Tunis Institute in Tunis. This meeting turned towards mystical thought and spirituality is organized on the occasion of the International Day of Poetry and will allow to approach the work of two poets whose depth is as undeniable as universally recognized.
Organized by the Spanish Embassy in Tunisia and the Cervantes Institute, this evening will be an opportunity to approach two universal poets in their differences and their proximities.
Two leading intellectual personalities will be there to decipher two thoughts, bring them together and analyze them. Author of the book “Ibn Arabi and her time”, María Gracia López Anguitita is a doctor of Arab and Islamic studies while her vis-à-vis in a conversation which promises to be exciting is none other than the poet Abdelaziz Kacem, several tests of which relate to interculturality and living together in particular in Andalusia.
A simultaneous translation in French-Spanish and Spanish-French will allow the public to take advantage of this intellectual exchange coupled with a poetic celebration.
