Tunis / A solidarity movement was created at the announcement of the closure of the “Passion du Libr’ere” bookstore, located at the Cité Ennasr, following financial problems. Tunisian designers, bdéists and artists find themselves from this Friday, January 30 to collect funds.
On Monday, January 21, the owner of the bookstore “Passion du Libr’ere”, Abir Riahi, announces the closure of the establishment on his Facebook page in these terms:

Reality is different from us, and space survival is increasingly difficult. Therefore, we offer a week of total liquidation from Saturday January 24, 2015. Support of Tunisian caricaturists and bdists
Following this announcement, Tunisian cartoonists such as Willis From Tunis, Adenov and Erevolution, and the Bdéistes collective LAB619 organized an event on Facebook for a meeting, this Friday, in the premises of the bookstore, in order to sell numbers and draw illustrations for the benefit of the brand.

Many posts have also called to support the bookstore and buy books to help them survive. The owner then entrusted to the TAP:

Indeed, other events will take place in the coming days, announced Abir Riahi on the bookstore’s Facebook page, including a music evening at the Villa 78, the screening of a film or an exhibition by photographer Leila Golli.

Friday January 30-Meeting with Tunisian caricaturists and bdéists at 6.30 p.m. at the “Passion du Libr’ere” bookstore, av. Hedi Nouira-B04 Res. Yasmine, Ennasr 2092 Tunis.
Saturday January 31 – “Music for Books” evening, from 4 to 7 p.m., Villa 78, avenue Mohammed V, in Tunis. Change of place at the Ellou7 coffee.
Sunday, February 1 – Projection of films by the association “Propagand prod” at the “Passion du Libr’ere” bookstore, from 4.30 pm.
Tuesday, February 3 – Charitable artistic show by the Slameur Hatem Karaoui with the Salam Halikom troupe; Exhibition of books and publications of the publishing house “Workshop 19”; Opening of the exhibition of photographer Leila Golli at 10:30 p.m., at Espace l’Agora at La Marsa. Hours to be specified.
Saturday, February 7 – exhibition of plastic artists at the “Passion du Libr’ere” bookstore, including the works of Nabil Souabni, Maher Guenaoui, etc. Time to be specified.
Sunday, February 8 – Meeting and discussion with the writer Gilbert Naccache around his book “The sky is overcoat”, at 4 pm, at the bookstore “Passion du Libr’ere”.
