Like all Tunisians who are jostling to go see Hkéyet Tounsia, the film which raised a controversy long before its release, I went to discover it. I was disappointed, even shocked !!
Disappointed by the almost zero artistic performance and shocked by the message conveyed by this film !!
How can a woman make a film against women? This is the question I’ve been trying to find an answer since last night !!
Yes, against women for two reasons. The first reason is that it gives a very pejorative image of the women of Tunisia. The second is that she explicitly says that the Tunisian women have far too many rights and that they abuse them !!
At the time when thousands of women are fighting for freedoms, defend freedom of expression, try to put pressure on the code of personal status in the Constitution, at the time of thousands of women trimenting to support their family, claim their social rights, rise against exploitation, harassment in workplaces, when the Tunisian women are indignant against the Misogynia of the Society, ?
A handful of idle women, debauchery, futiles that evolve in an opulence and ostentatious wealth environment, women who unpack their sexual frustrations, others who seek the good party for their daughters, young people at all costs …
These women exist in Tunisia, I do not deny it, but are they really representative of the Tunisian woman, and if so, what do they really represent in percentage?
Against a background of drug trafficking, watered evenings, history of betrayal, rupture and infidelity, the common thread of this film is a subliminal message: women have acquired far too many rights and this is the reason for all the disturbances of Tunisian society !! It is to wonder why we finally granted a visa to this film despite its non-compliance with identity values so claimed in recent times !!
In addition, this too worn social classes stereotype was used to be unhappy: the poor are pious, men go to the mosque, women are veiled. The rich, on the other hand, are perfect impious and “return” to God in the event of a disaster !!
In the end, two big questions arise. Has this film been done before or after the revolution? And who does he benefit from? Because if it has been done before, it can be found. Otherwise, it is unacceptable to see the priorities and aspirations of an entire people reduced to such futility. As it is unfair to castigate the woman at the very moment when we need all efforts to consolidate her skills !!
