It was the singer Abu who had inaugurated this ceremony. Abu is the composer and the singer of the famous “3 Da9et”, who had become the anthem of the GFF in 2017.
A tribute was paid to Mohamed Henedi for his whole career, but above all for having been among the first comic actors in Egyptian cinema and for having opened the voice to other comic actors after him.
The list was then announced. He did not reserve many surprises, especially with regard to The very beautiful Moroccan film Adam from Maryam Touzaniwho therefore won the bronze star star film of fiction, even if he deserved much better, the documentary film Talking about trees (Talking about Trees) by Suhaib Gasmelbarix who during his projection enchanted all the spectators and who won the gold Star, documentary feature, and especially the Sudanese film You will die at twenty years old Amjad Abu Alala who won the gold Star Fiction Fiction, although the film suffers from a few lengths.
As for the price of the best actress, it was awarded to Hend Sabry for its role in Tunisian film Noura Dream Directed by Hinde Boujemaa.
Hend Sabry elected, receives the star of best actress.
Hend Sabry delivered a very moving little speech, in which she recalled that it was during the first edition of the GFF in 2017, that Hinde Boujemaa had offered to play this role. She also thanked it by stressing the fact that people imagine that the big stars have the opportunity to choose their roles, but in reality, this celebrity scares the directors of independent films, and Hinde was not afraid. Hend Sabry also thanked her husband who has always been by her side and always encouraged her, his mother who takes care of her daughters and thus allows her to work and make films, her producers and friends.
