It presents itself as “the most ambitious event ever organized in the field of electronic music in Tunisia”: it is the ephemeral festival, which will take place on Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 August at the La Playa hotel in the city of Hammamet.
On the program: 12 hours of music per day for two days, with 10 international renown DJs, artistic performance and projections.

Among the “sizes” of electronic music that will occur from 4 p.m. to 4 a.m. on the stage of the La Playa hotel, we find in particular the German Dixon and the Italian duo Tale of Us, classified respectively n ° 1 and 2 in the ranking of the best DJs in the world published by Resident Advisor, a reference site in the field.
Without forgetting the young Sonja Moonear (Switzerland), Ame and Lake People (Germany), Nightmares on Wax and respected Matt Tolfrey (United Kingdom), Dop and Darius (France), and the strange and tribal Slow Magic (United States). The majority of these artists will be present for the first time in Tunisia during the festival.
“By launching ephemeral, the idea of the festival team was to get out of the formatted clubbing events and to set up an event inspired by major international festivals,” explains Ahmed Loubiri, founder of the ephemeral festival.
The festival’s location, which can accommodate nearly 4,000 people a day, will include two scenes, a main scene accompanied by a huge 1,200 m² dancefloor, and an “alternative” scene in a different room, where artists with a more “offbeat” style will perform.
The festival, which gives itself the ambition to “relaunch Tunisia as a high -level destination for lovers of electronic music, especially from Europe”, will also welcome Tunisian DJs Benjemy and Yasmin.
Four Tunisian artists were also invited to redevelop the space of the La Playa hotel: Street-Artist Va-Jo, specialist in pop Graffiti, plastic artist Malek Gnaoui, who will make an interactive Son-Video-Lumière installation, the artist Ghazi Frini and the design agency Design Lab.
The ephemeral festival had already been talked about two months ago when, to announce the event, a series of artistic “happenings” had been organized by surprise in places as diverse as a fishmonger, the Al Kitab bookstore in Tunis or the central place of Hammamet.
It is possible to attend the ephemeral festival with a day pass (60 dinars) or a two -day pass (90 dinars). Packages including accommodation for two nights are also offered. All prices, points of sale and detailed information can be found on the festival website and its Facebook page.
