Two Tunisian films were nominated for the 25th edition of the Ouagadougou Pan -African Cinema and television festival (Fespaco), which will be held in Burkina Faso from February 25 to March 4, 2017.
The first film is “tomorrow from dawn” by Lotfi Achour. It was selected with around twenty films in the “Panorama Long-feature” section (fictions and documentaries) of the official selection, as shown in the official festival website.
“Lilia, a Tunisian daughter” by Mohamed Zran was also selected from 34 films entered into the category “Fiction feature films” according to the same source.
Note that the Tunisian documentary “Tahar Cheriaa, in the shade of the Baobab” by Mohamed Chalouf will also be present in the “tributes” category of the films in the “Hors Competition” section.
It should be recalled that Fespaco is a famous biennial created in 1969 in order to bring together for a week professionals from the film industry around the world around African cinema and the African diaspora.
