El Gouna 2023 – 60 Egyptian Pounds, the short film by Amr Salama at the opening

The El Gouna Film Festival is delighted to announce that its opening film this year will be 60 Egyptian Pounds, a highly anticipated short film, directed by the famous filmmaker Amr Salama, featuring the most popular trap artist in Egypt, Ziad Zaza. The screening, scheduled for October 13, 2023, the festival opening evening, promises to be a truly memorable event.

It will be the second time that the El Gouna film festival will open its edition with a film directed by Amr Salama. SHeikh Jackson (2017) had opened the first edition of the El Gouna Film Festival. Mad Solutions, already associated with the work of AMR Salama with Sheikh Jacksonwill take charge of the global distribution of the film.

Inspired by successful song 60 geneh From the artist of Trap Ziad Zaza, this short film weaves a powerful narration around the life and education of the artist. The director Amr Salama brilliantly translates the music of Ziad Zaza into a captivating visual story, both stimulating and emotionally powerful.
