The Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) announced that during its 43th Edition to be held from November 26 to December 5, 2021, the Prix of Excellence Faten Hamama will be awarded to the Egyptian actor Karim Abdel Aziz in tribute to his exceptional career.
Mohamed Hefzy, president of the CIFF said: “The festival is always keen to honor the personalities who combine talent, popularity and dedication to the cinema, which is the case of Karim Abdel Aziz”.
Mr. Hefzy added: “I have a lot of respect for the career of Karim Abdel Aziz. For 20 years, he played roles in comedies, action films, thrillers, horror films and love films. He has a lot of merit and managed to surprise us sometimes by his daring choices. It is not by chance that he is among the best remunerated stars in the history of Egyptian cinema ”.
Karim Abdel Aziz thanked the management of the festival and expressed his happiness for having the honor of receiving this prize from the prestigious Cairo Film International Festival and which bears the name of the legendary artist Faten Hamama. Karim Abdel Aziz is the son of the great director Mohamed Abdel Aziz.
