The 75th Edition of the Cannes Film Festival will start tomorrow, preparations are going well, and communication around the selected films is in full swing, every day bringing its share of posters, photos and interviews, while waiting to be able to watch the films.
The Cannes poster and several photos of Tunisian movie Under the fig trees/under the figsselected at the 54th edition of the Directors’ Fortnightwere released yesterday.
Under the fig trees is the first fictional feature by Erige Sehiri, Franco-Tunisian director and producer. With her own production company, Henia Production, she develops documentaries from distinguished Tunisian authors with visions of reality, Idfa, Cinemed… In 2018, her flagship feature film, flagship documentary, flagship documentary, flagship documentary, flagship documentary, flagship documentary, flagship documentary, Railway Men/The Normal Waystayed six weeks in Tunisian rooms.
Synopsis: In the midst of fig trees, during the summer harvest, young women and men cultivate new feelings, court, try to understand each other, tie – and flee – deeper relationships.

Under the fig trees is one of the four Tunisian films selected at the 2022 Cannes Festival.

The world’s world premiere will take place on Saturday May 21, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at the Croisette – Cannes Theater.
