Can a Jew be Tunisian?

The question is silly because the answer is obviously yes.

The choice of title is not innocent either since it seems that a lot of fellow citizens are not aware of it.

This is the controversy of the moment. Jacob Lellouche, Tunisian restaurateur at La Goulette was outraged and shouted her loud and clear following the commentary of a sports team who said on antenna “Yhoudi Hachék” which means “Jewish, may God preserve you”

Fortunately, the presenter put her back in his place, but Jacob still shouted his fed up.
Commonly used in popular language, this sentence remains discriminatory.
Many unfortunately do not realize that it can hurt and several people like a certain Nizar t think that this is normal. The latter even wrote as a comment on Facebook “You have to get used to it. Someone who is in a country that is not his and who has decided to live there, must make a decision, either he lives like the local people, respects them and closes his mouth or he gives off at his home. “

Recall that there is a strong Jewish community located in Tunisia for centuries and which is very well integrated. Furthermore, neither Islam nor Tunisia have never tolerated that we lack respect for another individual because of his religion.

In recent weeks, the Tunisian canvas has pinned several such slippages. On ExpressFM, MoEz Souabni gives us his prodigious explanation of page 404 and, a few days later, on TV7, Nabil Khayrat comments that one “oussif” less on a soccer field helps him to no longer confuse between “black” players. And, therefore, here is the video of the show in question of Hannibal TV broadcast on Facebook by Dimasport.net.
