It is this Friday, April 7, that the exhibition “Les Beys” in Borj Kallel will be inaugurated in Sfax.
This initiative is an immersion in the heritage of Husseinite Tunisia (1705-1957). It is deployed in two separate components: an intra muros exhibition on the walk of the beach of the old casino of Sfax and another within Borj Kallel.
This initiative which also associates artists Dali and Mohamed Guiga, brings together several pieces from the collection constituted by Sacha Carnot (photo), a French passionate about Beylical History. The works and documents exposed are under the police station and in the scenography of Walid Mtimet.
Address many rare pieces which testify to this Husseinite period which ended with the establishment of the Tunisian Republic in 1957. A unique and singular piece will be exposed: a portrait of Hussein Ben Ali, founder of this dynasty in 1705.
