“Bastardo”, the new fictional feature by Nejib Belkadhi, will be in theaters from December 8, 2013 at Cinédart in Carthage, Alhambra at Marsa as well as at the Amilcar room in El Manar and Rio in downtown Tunis.
Fiction feature film produced by Propaganda Production (Tunisia) and a thousand and one productions (France), the film tells the story of Mohsen aka “Bastardo” (Monaom Chouayet), a thirty -something living in the rejection of his poor district. He sees his life change the day he sets up a GSM relay on his roof. His ascent is dazzling but it is without counting on Larnouba (Chedly Arfaoui), head of the unscrupulous district, who sees with a bad eye the acensions of the “bastard”.
The film will be screened tomorrow at 2 p.m. in preview to journalists at the Alhambra room at La Marsa. Projected in a global preview to the official selection of the Toronto International Film Festival, having also appeared in the official selection of the Abu Dhabi Film Festival, the new film by Nejib Belkadhi will certainly be expected by an audience in lack of local film production.
