The high independent authority for audiovisual communication (HAICA) sent this Tuesday, May 5, a warning to the private television channel El-Hiwar Ettounsi, concerning the broadcast of the Ramadanesque soap opera “Awled Moufida”.
According to Haica, the soap opera, programmed in prime time, has “shocking and violent” scenes for a young audience.
Thus she calls the chain to broadcast this soap from 10:30 p.m. and to display with a clear and readable character for 10 seconds and before the broadcast of episodes the mention “This program contains violent scenes which can have an impact on a sensitive audience, in particular children under the age of sixteen”.
HAICA also called on the chain to continuously register the mention “prohibited for under 16s” at the bottom of the screen.
