Award-winning post-production films at the Takmil workshop

According to a press release, the Takmil prize jury, chaired this year by Italian Giona A. Nazzaro, announced during a ceremony organized on Wednesday afternoon, the list of award-winning post-production films during the 28th Edition of Carthage Cinematographic Days.

The Takmil workshop aims to allow African and Arab filmmakers to submit their films, in the post-production phase, to the expertise of an international jury made up of 05 members, and to provide material assistance to the finish of African and Arab films by offering post-production scholarships offered by festival partners.

Below is the list of scholarships granted to promising film projects awarded:

– Prize of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) (10,000 euros) :: The Mercy of The Jungle by Joel Karekezi (Rwanda).

– International media support price (IMS) (10,000 euros): Ibrahim from Lina Alabed (Palestine)

– Prize of the National Center of France Cinema (CNC) (5,000 euros): The Day I Lost My Shadow Sudade Kaadan (Syria)

– Alesco Prize ($ 5,000): The Day I Lost My Shadow Sudade Kaadan (Syria)

– Hakka Distributon Prize (Aid to the distribution of an African or Arab film in Tunisia): The Day I Lost My Shadow Sudade Kaadan (Syria)

– Prize of the National Center for Cinema and Image (CNCI) (15,000D) :: Janitou amine Hattou (Algeria)

– Silverway Media-Paris Prize (post-production work): The normal route Erige Sehiri (Tunisia)

Congratulations to the winners.

The first Arab or African of these films will necessarily be reserved for JCC. So I hope that we will see them very soon in official JCC!
