The Tunisian Cinémathèque is organizing a cycle dedicated to Italian filmmaker Franco Zeffirelli from September 20 to 30. With the help of the Italian cultural institute and the Zeffirelli Foundation.
From September 20 to 30, the public of the Tunisian Cinémathèque will be able to go back to delight in the cinema of Franco Zeffirelli. Several films are on the program for this retrospective, notably “Romeo and Juliet”, “Un tea with Mussolini” or “La Traviatta”.
This cycle of projections will also be the occasion for a meeting on September 22 at 11 a.m., with Caterina d’Amico, the manager in Florence, the Zeffirelli collection and archives.
Finally, the inauguration of the cycle, Wednesday, September 20, will be accompanied by the opening of an exhibition entitled “Les Fusains du Maestro”. These are sketches of decor made by Zeffirelli during the shooting in Tunisia, of his film “Jesus of Nazareth”.
