Major volcanic eruptions would have paved the way for the rapid spread of Islam through the Middle East, Africa and Europe. At least that’s what some experts claim today.
Between 536 ACs and 626 A, there were significant volcanic eruptions which were the source of major climate change and by ricochet of famine. The leper would have taken the opportunity to decimate the Eurasian population (50 million people would have died).
All these “happy” coincidences would have weakened the Byzantine Empire and would ultimately caused its fall, leaving the door wide open to Muslims.
At least, this is what Dr. Michael Sigl, research assistant professor at the center of Reno and his team of scientists claim for whom, volcanic eruptions played a key role in the “luck” that civilizations have had around the world.
To say that volcanoes have changed the history of humanity. We could have all been byzantine!
