The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tunis recently revealed its second Street Art fresco, embellishing the outside wall of its premises located on avenue de Palestine.
Fruit of collaboration between Libyan graffiti artist Mohamed Shandoul and Tunisian artist Dino, this work was officially inaugurated during a ceremony.

This project is part of the continuity of an initiative initiated in 2020, where Dino had already worked alongside the artistic collective Debo to create a first fresco celebrating friendship between Tunisia and the Czech Republic. This new creation is expanding artistic ambition by highlighting strong symbols of Czech culture and innovation.
Štěpánka Litecká, acting manager, and Klara Bednarova, economic advisor to the Czech Embassy, chaired the event. The fresco presents a series of graffiti which illustrate emblematic icons of the Czech Republic.
Among the representations are the ŠKODA AUTO logo, a pillar of the Czech automotive industry, as well as a contact lens, a revolutionary invention of the chemist Otto Wichterle. Cubic sugar, an innovation attributed to Jakub Kryštof Rad, is also there, just like the famous Tours de Prague, symbols of the unique architecture of the capital. The Prague Integrated Transport Logo (PID) recalls the efficiency of the transport network, and a tribute is paid to the 50th anniversary of the Pragian metro.
The fresco also includes a sparkle of Bohemia crystal, renowned for its world quality, and the dancing house, icon of modern architecture in Prague. A robot, a nod to the Czech of the term, symbolizes technological innovation, while the žžkov television tower dominates the scene, the culmination of the urban landscape of Prague.
