The rumor is confirmed. The Google firm is working on a digital kiosk project for smartphones running Android. The giant is currently in fierce discussions with large American publishers such as Time Warner or Condé Nast in order to have them in his kiosk.
A project that is not surprised given the big boom that the PC tablets find these days on the market. Google thus tries by all means not to stay off game and wishes to share the share of the cake with Amazon and its Kindle at all costs but especially with Apple and its star product.
The American giant seeks to put the odds on his side by ensuring the publishers that he will have commissions much lower than the 30% that the brand takes with the apple with its iTunes. An argument that could weigh big in the scale, for the benefit of Google. He also promises them to provide them with detailed data on the demography of buyers in order to improve their marketing strategy.
