Tunisian film critic Neïla Driss has been renewed for a second consecutive year as a member of the Golden Globes voting body. After her initial selection in 2024 as an alternate voter, she has now been granted the status of International Voter, with deliberative voting rights for the 83rd edition. This renewal reflects the trust placed by the Golden Globe Foundation, which evaluates each year the involvement, rigor, and relevance of its members’ contributions.

Created in 1944 in Hollywood, the Golden Globes honor the best films and series annually, along with their performers, directors, and screenwriters. They are considered one of the major events of the awards season, just after the Oscars. Following recent reforms, the Golden Globes have opened their ranks to journalists from around the world to ensure greater representation of international cinematic diversity.

Neïla Driss is a film critic, member of FIPRESCI (International Federation of Film Critics), and collaborates with several Tunisian and international media outlets. For many years, she has covered major film festivals, including Cannes, Cairo, Carthage, and El Gouna, producing analytical articles, critiques, and reports that combine both cinephile insight and journalistic rigor.

Since 2024, she has also been among the critics selected by the Arab Cinema Center to participate in the voting for the Critics Awards for Arab Films and the Arab Critics Awards for European Films, two distinctions that highlight the most significant works in contemporary Arab and European cinema.

Her renewal as an international voter for the Golden Globes acknowledges both the seriousness of her work and the distinctive voice and approach she brings. This role, renewed annually, reflects a commitment to openness and diversification of profiles within the voting body, which now includes over 380 specialized journalists from nearly 80 countries.
