A ceremony for the delivery of 30 ancient currency is organized, today, Wednesday, March 8, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, in the presence of Norwegian researcher Ronald Haakon.
The ceremony for presenting 30 pieces will be held today in the presence of the Minister of Cultural Affairs, Dr Hayat Ketat-Guermazi and the Norwegian researcher Ronald Haakon, who is in charge of this process.
It should be noted that these 30 ancient coins dating from the Carthaginian period had been seized in Norway in 2022.
The seizure and monitoring of the process of recovery of these documents were carried out in coordination between the Ministry of Cultural Affairs in its various directions concerned, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians abroad.
As a reminder, trafficking in archaeological pieces, including ancient coins, has strongly proliferated in recent years and important networks have been dismantled.
Several foreign nationals had been arrested while they were preparing to cross borders, including terrestrial.
