As the round of 16 against Mali approaches, the Tunisian selection is refining its settings. A training session marked by several absences and a meticulous program before the trip to Casablanca.
The Tunisian selection continues its rise in power in view of its decisive meeting against Mali, counting for the round of 16 of the African Cup of Nations. The match will be played at the Mohammed V complex in Casablanca, in a direct elimination context where every detail counts.
The last training session was marked by careful management of the squad. Elyes Saad carried out specific work in the gym, while Hannibal Mejbri was spared due to fatigue. For his part, Elyes Achouri contented himself with individualized preparation, away from the group.
Heading for Casablanca
The Eagles of Carthage will take the road to Casablanca the next morning. The program includes a training session at the end of the afternoon on the annex pitch of the Mohammed V complex, the final rehearsal before the match.
On the media level, national coach Sami Trabelsi will speak at the official press conference, accompanied by defender Yan Valery, to discuss the state of the team and the challenges of this confrontation.
A balanced duel in perspective
Tunisia qualified for this knockout round by finishing second in their group with four points, a similar path to that of Mali, also second in their group. A configuration which promises a close clash between two selections accustomed to continental games and determined to continue their adventure in the competition.
