The last 24 hours have been marked by sometimes heavy rains in several regions of the country. The reports published by the National Institute of Meteorology show high accumulations, particularly in the North-West and the Center, with peaks locally exceeding 50 mm.
The largest quantities were recorded in the North-West, particularly in the governorate of Jendouba where significant quantities were recorded, including Tabarka (32 mm) and Bousalem (28 mm), confirming a sustained and widespread rainy episode.
In the governorate of Siliana, the rains were very present, with 13 mm in El Aroussa, 8 mm in Siliana-ville and more modest accumulations in certain neighboring delegations.
Notable accumulations in the Center-East
In the governorate of Zaghouan, the readings show 40 mm in El Fahs, 33 mm in Zriba, 32 mm in Zaghouan-ville placing this region among the wettest after the North-West.
In Sousse, rains reached 14 mm in Chott-Meriem, while Monastir recorded 38 mm in Ksibet Médiouni, 50 mm in Teboulba, 42 mm in Moknine, 56 mm in Ksar Helal and 65 mm in Sayada, Lamta and Bouhjar.
More moderate rain elsewhere
The governorates of Béja, Bizerte, Nabeul, Tunis and Ariana experienced weaker to moderate rainfall, generally between 1 and 9 mm, with irregular distribution depending on the delegations.
In the South, the readings remain limited, confirming that most of the rainy episode affected the North and Center of the country.
