The Tunisian selection officially launches its campaign at the 2025 African Cup of Nations with a confrontation against Uganda. A few minutes before kick-off, the national coach lifted the veil on the starting lineup of the Carthage Eagles.

Tunisia enters the fray this evening at CAN 2025 in Morocco with a first test against Uganda, as part of Group C. The match is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. and marks the start of a journey awaited by Tunisian supporters. For this inaugural meeting, the technical staff opted for an eleven combining experienced executives and offensive profiles.

A defensive base articulated around Dahman and Talbi

In goal, Aymen Dahman is established to secure the Tunisian rearguard. The defense is organized around Dylan Bronn and Montasser Talbi in the center, supported on the sides by Yann Valery and Ali Abdi, responsible for providing solidity but also offensive solutions.

An experienced midfielder to control the tempo

The heart of the game rests on a trio composed of Elyes Skhiri, Ferjani Sassi and Hannibal Mejbri. A balanced environment, combining recovery, physical impact and forward projection, called upon to dictate the pace against a Ugandan selection renowned for its commitment.

An offensive sector focused on percussion

In attack, the coach trusted Elyes Saad and Elyes Achouri on the wings, with Hazem Mestiri up front. A choice which reflects a clear desire to focus on speed, mobility and the ability to unbalance from this first outing.

Tunisia’s starting line-up

Aymen Dahman – Dylan Bronn, Montasser Talbi, Yann Valery, Ali Abdi – Elyes Skhiri, Ferjani Sassi, Hannibal Mejbri – Elyes Saad, Elyes Achouri, Hazem Mestiri.
