Tunisia will experience a significant meteorological change from the evening of Monday, December 22, 2025. According to forecasts, locally stormy rains will first affect the western regions before spreading tomorrow to the northern areas and, locally, to the center of the country.
This precipitation could sometimes be intense, particularly in the far northwest where accumulations could reach between 20 and 40 millimeters, accompanied by localized hail.
At the same time, a significant cooling is expected. Maximum temperatures will range between 12 and 16 degrees in most regions, and will not exceed 7 degrees in high altitude areas. Minimum temperatures will generally vary between 6 and 10 degrees, and drop to between 0 and 5 degrees in western areas.
Call for caution
Conditions will be particularly wintry in mountainous regions. Snowfall is expected tonight and tomorrow morning in areas exceeding 1000 meters above sea level, particularly in the governorates of Kasserine, Le Kef and Siliana.
Authorities advise caution, especially for motorists and residents in areas exposed to flooding and slippery roads. Farmers and residents of mountainous regions are also urged to prepare for the expected exceptional winter conditions.
