For many years, Rita Mangogna Bannino has been the devoted volunteer president of the Delarue-Langlois family home in Rades.
With the members of the steering committee, she ensures the sustainability of this institution born in 1944 and which she likes to describe as the House of the Heart, the one where the only flag is the heart.
Located in La Terrasse, a century-old villa on the heights of Rades, this family home brings together around forty French, Italian and Tunisian residents who spend their retirement there, some of whom have lived for centuries.
Rita puts all her energy at the service of this home with a remarkable motto which aims to add life to the years. At La Terrasse, we celebrate all the holidays in an ecumenical way and we share all the Tunisian culinary traditions: couscous from Ras El Am, sardine pasta for Saint Joseph’s Day or Christmas turkey.
Born in Tunis into a Sicilian family, Rita Mangogna Bannino graduated from Carnot high school where she crossed paths with all the Tunisian communities. Strong in her convictions, committed with ardor, her fight is a model and her days are often endless but so inspiring.
Because Rita knows: it is with the heart that you can move mountains. With deep breath and intact enthusiasm, she continues her mission and her efforts in the communion of beneficent people.
