On Avenue de Paris, in Rue du Luxembourg, the Villa Yvonne retains beautiful remains and is unlike any other Tunisian building.
Having changed hands several times since its construction at the beginning of the twentieth century, this residence has long been neglected or even abandoned.
Recently, Villa Yvonne was purchased without any restoration being planned. Shortly after, a fire further damaged a wing of the building, already in ruins.
For several days, a brick wall has closed access to this part of the burned house pending hypothetical restoration or reconstruction work.
