Lassaad Dridi leaves Stade Tunisien after two weeks and provokes the anger of management

Stade Tunisien has confirmed the sudden departure of its coach Lassaad Dridi, appointed at the end of November, ending a whirlwind collaboration barely two weeks after taking office.

The Bardo club denounces a unilateral breach of the contractual commitment, while the technician is announced as leaving for the Algerian championship.

A hasty departure towards the Algerian championship

According to explanations provided by the spokesperson for Stade Tunisien, Badreddine Nacef to the TAP agency, the club’s management began to receive, as of Friday, persistent information reporting an imminent agreement between Lassaad Dridi and an Algerian club. These rumors intensified until last night, pushing stadium officials to contact the coach directly.

The latter then confirmed his intention to leave Stade Tunisien, expressing his pressing desire to join Club Sportif Constantinois, only a few days after officially signing with the Tunisian club.

Management denounces a serious breach

In its clarification, Stade Tunisien describes Lassaad Dridi’s decision as a “blatant breach of contractual and moral commitment” to the club. Management expresses its deep dissatisfaction with a departure considered brutal, occurring without respecting deadlines or professional obligations.

Badreddine Nacef underlines that this attitude aroused strong indignation within the extended family of the club.

Arriving on November 28 to succeed Chokri Khatoui, Lassaad Dridi was to be part of a project aimed at consolidating the club’s results in the championship. His premature departure now forces management to review its plans as important deadlines approach, notably the return phase of Ligue 1.
