National coach Sami Trabelsi published this Thursday the list of players summoned to play in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. Tunisia will play in Group C alongside Uganda, Nigeria and Tanzania. This selection mixes experienced executives, expected returns and young confirmed talents.

Sami Trabelsi opted for a complete group, made up of four goalkeepers, fourteen defenders and midfielders combined, as well as six attackers. The technician is banking on a mix of stability with regulars like Skhiri, Talbi or Meriah, and offensive reinforcements capable of bringing more impact in a competition expected to be difficult. The presence of profiles playing in European championships confirms the ambition to build a competitive team from the first round.

The guards retained

The selection will include four goalkeepers:

Aymen Dahmene (CS Sfaxien), Béchir Ben Saïd (Espérance de Tunis), Sabri Ben Hassan (Etoile du Sahel) and Noureddine Farhati (Stade Tunisien). A combination of local experience and young players on the rise.

A defense rich in options

The defenders called cover a wide range of profiles:

Yan Valery (Sheffield Wednesday), Mohamed Ben Ali (EST), Dylan Bronn (FC Servette), Montassar Talbi (Lorient), Yassine Meriah (EST), Adem Arous (Kasımpaşa), Nader Ghandri (Akhmat Grozny), Mortadha Ben Ounnes (Kasımpaşa), Ali Abdi (Nice) and Ali Maaloul (CS Sfaxien).

A versatile group, adapted to the tactical requirements of Trabelsi.

An experienced and creative environment

The middle sector brings together balance, recovery and creation:

Ferjani Sassi (Al Gharafa), Ellyes Skhiri (Eintracht Frankfurt), Houssem Tka (EST), Mohamed Hadj Mahmoud (Lugano), Ismael Gharbi (Augsburg), Hannibal Mejbri (Burnley), Naïm Sliti (Al Shamal) and Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane (Al Ahly).

A midline capable of alternating between technical mastery and physical intensity.

An attack oriented towards speed and percussion

At the forefront and on the wings, Trabelsi relies on six elements:

Elias Saad (Augsburg), Elias Achouri (Copenhagen), Hazem Mastouri (Dinamo Makhachkala), Sébastien Tounekti (Celtic), Firas Chaouat (Club Africain) and Seifeddine Jaziri (Zamalek).

Varied profiles, combining depth, dribbling, power and efficiency in front of goal.

Placed alongside Nigeria, Tanzania and Uganda, Tunisia will have to quickly find its bearings. The individual quality of the players called up suggests high potential, but the margin for error will remain low in a group where each point will be decisive.
