During the Tuniçoise Meeting which took place on Friday November 21 in Nice, in the south of France, a memorandum of understanding on good practices in the field of sustainable tourism was signed by Hichem Mahouachi, regional delegate for Tourism in Djerba, and Jean-Sébastien Martinez, general director of the Nice Côte d’Azur Tourist Office (from left to right in our photo).
This memorandum of understanding constitutes a declaration of intentions and a first step in new tourism synergies between the two regions. In addition, this agreement is intended to establish in the future a new decentralized cooperation mechanism between Nice and Djerba.
The signing of this agreement in principle was among the many highlights of a “Tuniçoise” day, a neologism constructed from Tunisia and Nice.
