The closing of the Rencontres Tuniçoises took place on Friday November 21 at the Nice Regional Conservatory with a concert by the Rafraf Orchestra conducted by oudist Khaled Ben Yahia.
Followed by a large audience representative of the Nice mosaic, this concert kept all its promises.
A warm and friendly moment, this concert was an opportunity for the public to discover the innate talent of the young singer Mirane Snayaa and rediscover the powerful voice of the incomparable Mounir Troudi.
Carried by the metronome Khaled Ben Yahia on lute and conducting, the concert brought together Riadh Ben Amor on violin, Nasreddine Chalbi on percussion, Abdelaziz Trabelsi on double bass and Nabil Abdmouleh on nay.
Both experimental and festive, the program excited the audience. Several instrumental pieces composed by Khaled Ben Yahia gave the orchestra its jazzy dimension and highlighted its musical research work.
Covers by Mohamed Abdelwaheb, Fairouz, Hédi Jouini and Ali Riahi offered the public a musical journey between Tunisian songs and oriental tunes. Entitled “Keyum”, the finale received a deserved ovation after remarkable improvisations from each of the musicians and a breathtaking vocal performance from Mounir Troudi.
Thus the last word of the Rencontres Tuniçoises returned to music. And in what way!
