The Minister of Youth and Sports, Sadok Mourali, presented the broad outlines of the bill on sports structures, as well as measures aimed at strengthening security in stadiums and regulating sports betting, during the plenary session devoted to the 2026 budget.
Infrastructure and Security Bill
The bill relating to sports structures, transmitted to the Prime Ministry since October 10, is now in its final version and awaits examination by the Council of Ministers. It aims to modernize facilities and strengthen their management to better meet the needs of clubs and athletes.
At the same time, a bill of 40 articles was drawn up to combat violence, vandalism and fanaticism in sports spaces. The text, sent to the presidency on October 22, should be transmitted to the Assembly of People’s Representatives in the coming weeks.
Since the start of the season, several meetings with the Ministry of the Interior and stakeholders have defined concrete measures, the most recent taking place on November 4.
To strengthen prevention, the ministry is implementing electronic ticket sales and is gradually equipping sports facilities with modern surveillance cameras.
Supervision of games of chance and sports betting
The minister also presented the complete revision of the draft law on games of chance, money and sports betting, which was adapted to international standards to combat manipulation and money laundering.
The objective is to secure the sector and prevent any external influence likely to harm the integrity of the competitions.
