As part of its “Tounes T3ich” social responsibility program, Ooredoo Tunisia is intensifying its environmental efforts with the launch of a new national reforestation campaign, aimed at restoring areas affected by fires and raising public awareness about nature protection.
Concrete, multi-year action
Since 2023, Ooredoo has carried out several major operations:
- 70 hectares reforested in Bargou in 2023, following the devastating fires.
- 100 hectares in Béja in 2024, bringing the area already reforested to 170 hectares.
For 2025, the company plans an additional 30 hectares in Béja, confirming its long-term commitment to forest restoration and the preservation of biodiversity.
Awareness raising and citizen mobilization
The campaign is part of National Arbor Day, and aims to mobilize the population to participate in reforestation actions, promote sustainable citizen engagement and promote concrete initiatives to restore damaged natural spaces.
According to Mansoor Rashid Al-Khater, CEO of Ooredoo Tunisia:
“The restoration of areas destroyed by fires is a national imperative. Through our Tounes T3ich CSR program, we support concrete actions to bring our forests back to life. Together, we can build a greener future for Tunisia. »
Shared responsibility and local partnerships
Ooredoo confirms its desire to collaborate with national authorities and local partners to ensure the success of this program. The company thus intends to strengthen its role as an actor committed to a sustainable and resilient future, contributing to the restoration of disaster areas and the preservation of the Tunisian ecosystem.
