On Thursday morning, almost all districts of kyiv were targeted by an attack described as “massive”.
Mayor Vitali Klitschko speaks of coordinated strikes carried out by Russia, which continues to target the Ukrainian capital almost three years after the start of its invasion.
According to President Volodymyr Zelensky, at least four people were killed, and emergency services counted more than 24 injured.
Russia claims to have shot down 216 Ukrainian drones
The Russian Defense Ministry says its anti-aircraft systems intercepted or destroyed 216 Ukrainian drones, including 66 in the Krasnodar region.
This increase in the use of long-range drones illustrates the evolution of the conflict: a technological confrontation where kyiv seeks to circumvent Russian material superiority by saturating its defense.
Moscow threatens “clandestine war”
The FSB says it has foiled an assassination plan targeting a senior government official, attributing the operation to Ukraine.
As is often the case, these announcements are part of the Kremlin’s security narrative, which seeks to present Russia as a state under siege, even though it is at the origin of the aggression against Ukraine.
The strikes on kyiv, the Ukrainian technological response and Russian security narratives reflect a conflict that extends well beyond the front lines.
The Russian invader is expanding the spectrum of war — military, psychological, energy and informational — in a continuing effort to exhaust the Ukrainian state.
