The Tunisian Cereals Office (OTC) has launched an international call for tenders for the acquisition of 225,000 tonnes of wheat, divided between 125,000 tonnes of soft wheat and 100,000 tonnes of durum wheat, Reuters reported on Wednesday.
This call for tenders comes in a context marked by increasing national needs for cereals and tensions on world markets. Interested bidders have until Thursday, November 13, 2025 to submit their offers to the OTC.
A strategic operation to secure supplies
According to the terms of the call, deliveries will be made in several batches of 25,000 tonnes each, between December 15, 2025 and January 20, 2026, in order to ensure progressive and continuous supply to the Tunisian market.
This new order comes a month after Tunisia purchased 100,000 tonnes of soft wheat last October.
