Tunis is preparing to become, on November 21 and 22, the center of an important international medical meeting: the Tunisian-Sino-African Forum for the Development of Chinese Medicine.

More than 120 experts and researchers from China are expected in Tunis, alongside African and Tunisian delegations, to discuss prospects for cooperation in the field of traditional medicine and natural therapies.

A strategic event for health cooperation

The preparation of this forum was the subject of a meeting on Friday, November 7, between the Tunisian Minister of Health, Mustapha Ferjani, and the Chinese Ambassador to Tunisia, Wan Lee, accompanied by Chinese officials. The discussions focused on the organizational, scientific and logistical aspects of this event, which will include conferences, seminars and medical exhibitions.

The event also provides for the signing of partnership agreements between Tunisia and the People’s Republic of China, intended to strengthen exchanges in training, research and medical innovation.

Tunis, crossroads for Afro-Asian medical exchanges

For Mustapha Ferjani, this forum illustrates Tunisia’s strategic place as a bridge between Asia and Africa. He stressed that this initiative consolidates tripartite medical cooperation between Tunisia, China and several African countries, while opening the way to new opportunities for the transfer of knowledge and technologies in the field of traditional medicine.

With the participation of high-level experts and the growing interest in integrated therapeutic approaches, Tunis is establishing itself as a regional platform for scientific and medical exchanges.
