From Tuesday November 4, 2025 at 1:00 a.m.

As part of the completion of the “D” section of the Rapid Rail Network (RFR) project, the company Tunis RFR announces the temporary closure of part of rue Taïeb Mehiri, between rue Bach Hamba and rue Yougourta, in both directions, for a period of six months from November 4, 2025 at 1:00 a.m.

Diversion routes have been put in place in coordination with local authorities and traffic police:

  • From Place du Bardo towards M’Lassine: motorists can pass through the entrance to the CNAM (National Health Insurance Fund) then join Avenue de la République before turning left towards Rue Taïeb Mehiri.
  • From M’Lassine towards Place du Bardo: it will be possible to turn right towards Rue de la Liberté towards Avenue du 20 Mars 1956, or to continue straight then turn right via Rue Yougourta to reach the same avenue.

In addition, traffic will also be prohibited in several streets adjacent to the construction site, on the Taïeb Mehiri street side, namely:

  • Rue Farhat Hached
  • Arbi Zarrouk Street
  • Rue du 13 Août (rue de la Municipalité)

These restrictions will remain in effect until the work is completed.

The company finally calls on all road users to exercise caution, reduce speed and respect the temporary signage put in place in the construction site area.
