CAF Champions League: Espérance de Tunis inherits a tough group

The draw for the group stage of the African Champions League, carried out on Monday in Johannesburg, placed Esperance sportive de Tunis in a particularly competitive group D, alongside Simba SC (Tanzania), Petro Atlético (Angola) and Stade Malien (Mali).

A group that looks like a challenge

The “Blood and Gold” will have to face three formidable opponents:

  • Simba SCaccustomed to African games and supported by an impressive audience in Dar es Salaam,
  • Petro Atléticosemi-finalist in 2022 and strong Angolan representative,
  • Malian Stadiumchampion of Mali, renowned for his tactical rigor.

Esperance will begin its campaign in Radès against Stade Malien on November 21 or 22, 2025, before a first dangerous trip to Luanda a week later.
