The Office of the Assembly of People’s Representatives (ARP) has set November 5 and 6, 2025 as the opening dates of the plenary sessions devoted to the examination of the draft state budget and the economic balance for the 2026 financial year.

Discussions on ministerial missions and sectoral budgets will continue from November 7 to 22. This timetable is part of the process of adopting the 2026 finance law, which must be voted on by December 10 at the latest in accordance with article 78 of the Constitution. A joint plenary session will also bring together members of the ARP and those of the National Council of Regions and Districts to debate the finance bill.

Management of debates and other files

The Bureau of Parliament examined the organization of the debates, the speaking time of deputies and the response methods of ministers. He also approved the minutes of the Conference of Presidents of October 24 and took note of the report of the visit of the Defense and Security Commission to the border crossings of Ras Jedir and Dhehiba.

Bills and parliamentary questions

In total, 145 written questions will be sent to members of the government. Three legislative reports – relating to the artist and artistic professions, the regularization of exchange offenses and the settlement of agricultural debts – will be sent to the Parliamentary Academy for in-depth study. In addition, sessions devoted to oral questions will take place from the beginning of 2026, twice per week.
