First participation and already a medal! Tunisian player Rima Abdelli won the silver medal in women’s singles on Sunday October 12, 2025 at the African Para Badminton Championship, organized in Abuja (Nigeria) from October 7 to 12.
In the final, Abdelli lost to Kenyan Corrine Mwaniga (17-42), after a remarkable run marked by several victories against experienced players from the continent.
This performance has particular value: it was the first participation of the Tunisian women’s selection in this continental meeting. A promising entry which confirms the rise of Tunisian parabadminton on the African scene.
