Meeting in plenary on Tuesday, deputies urged to accelerate the adoption of the bill prohibiting any form of normalization with Israel, reaffirming Tunisia’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause.
The members of the Assembly of People’s Representatives (ARP) unanimously called, during the plenary session of October 7, to hasten the approval of the bill criminalizing political, economic and media normalization with the Zionist entity.
The elected officials firmly denounced the massacres perpetrated in the Gaza Strip and the policy of starvation of the Palestinian people, believing that these are flagrant violations of international conventions relating to human rights.
In their interventions, several deputies praised the commitment of Tunisian citizens who took part in the Soumoud global flotilla, a symbolic initiative of solidarity with Gaza.
Two points relating to this event and the second anniversary of the “Al Aqsa Flood” operation were also added to the agenda of the inaugural session of the 4th parliamentary session.
