Ill -treatment, physical and psychological violence
The Legal Committee welcomed the resistance and firmness of participants of different nationalities in the face of what he described as “crime as an abduction in international waters”, charged to the Israeli authorities.
Passengers of the flotilla, according to the press release, suffered from ill -treatment and physical and psychological violence during their detention in Ketziot prison, one of the harshest prison centers in the country.
The Committee also paid tribute to the lawyers of the Adalah association, which ensured the legal follow -up of the case despite the lack of means and the restrictions imposed by the Israeli authorities. Their work, underlines the press release, made it possible to obtain precise information on the situation of the prisoners and to guarantee their transfer safely to Jordan.
Tunisian activists’ repatriation in Tunisia is scheduled for today, Tuesday, October 7. Since then, arrests, detentions and repatriations have been made by successive waves: ten Tunisians have already been repatriated Sunday in Tunis-Carthage.
