The repatriation of the rest of the Tunisian activists who participated in the international “Soumoud” flotilla, always detained in the prisons of the Israeli occupation, is scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, according to the legal team accompanying the humanitarian mission.

Fifteen Tunisians still selected

In a statement published on Monday, the legal team indicated that the 15 Tunisian nationals still detained will be transferred to Jordan, via the King Hussein bridge, before their return to Tunisia. They will travel alongside other Arab and Muslim activists – Algerians, Moroccans, Libyans, Kuwaitians, Jordanians, Pakistani, Bahrainis, Omans and Turks – arrested during the interception of the flotilla.

The world flotilla “Soumoud”, which had around 500 participants from 72 countries, had been intercepted last Thursday by the Israeli naval forces in international waters, while it was heading for Gaza with a cargo of humanitarian aid.

Since then, arrests, detentions and repatriations have been made by successive waves: ten Tunisians have already been repatriated Sunday in Tunis-Carthage, where they were welcomed by their families, members of civil society and the Tunisian Red Crescent.

According to the latest information, 170 European activists was repatriated to Greece on Monday, while 167 others are still waiting to be released.
