Tunisian activist Mouheb Snoussi, participating in the Global Sumud Flotilla, was violently attacked by Israeli police after having brandished a Palestinian flag hidden under his clothes and chanted slogans in favor of the freedom of Palestine, announced the legal support committee. The incident occurred when the Israeli Interior Minister arrived at the port of Ashdod.
Despite this assault, Mouheb Snoussi remains confident and has transmitted, through his lawyer, his greetings to the Tunisian people and to the Nations in love with freedom, calling to continue the mobilization to obtain the release of all the participants.
Current legal proceedings and evictions
The committee said that 280 participants appeared on Friday October 3, 2025 before the Israeli immigration court, including 200 without legal representation. The hearings resume this Saturday, after the postponement of 200 other participants.
Due to the weekend in the occupied state, the pace of the hearings is slowed down, with only two judges this Saturday against seven the day before.
In addition, the referral of 100 participants who have signed a document of “accelerated expulsion procedure” is planned during the day. The committee recalled that the signing of this document does not constitute recognition of the legitimacy of the occupying entity and that each participant was free to choose.
