The National Commission for the Support for the Resistance in Palestine called on Friday the Tunisians to participate in a national march on Saturday October 4 in Tunis. This mobilization aims to express solidarity with the Palestinian people and to claim the release of Tunisian activists detained after the interception of the Al Soumoud flotilla.
The departure is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Place du Passage, before joining Avenue Habib Bourguiba, a traditional place of major demonstrations in the capital. The march intends to denounce the current genocide in Gaza and challenge the international community to act in favor of the protection of Palestinian civilians.
Support to detainers detained
According to the commission, 28 Tunisian and Tunisian are among the people arrested by Israeli forces on board the albtilla albtilla boats, which was trying to break the blockade imposed in Gaza. Their release is at the center of the claims of this mobilization.
The National Commission insists that this march is part of a broader and lasting approach to support the Palestinian cause, but also in the universal defense of human rights, freedom and dignity.
Detainees in the desert
The flotilla for Gaza, made up of more than 40 ships and around 500 activists, was intercepted on Wednesday evening by the Israeli navy in international waters off Gaza. A total of 473 members of the Sumud world flotilla were arrested by the Israeli authorities, including 28 Tunisian citizens.
According to Maître Sami Ben Ghazi, member of the Legal Support Committee for the Soumoud flotilla, the Tunisians detained by the Zionist entity are in good health. They were transferred with the other activists to Kesdiout prison, located in the Negev desert pending their expulsion to their countries of origin.
