The President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, called on Thursday October 2, 2025, to “double the efforts” to guarantee the return as soon as possible by the Tunisians retained by the Israeli occupation forces.

Receiving at the Palais de Carthage the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians abroad, Mohamed Ali Nafti, the head of state insisted on the continuity of “intense diplomatic work” committed for several days. “The Tunisian state will never give up its national responsibilities. All of Tunisia is united, firm in its positions in principle, “he said.

Kaïs Saïed stressed that the voice of Tunisia is today “heard and respected around the world”, especially in its denunciation of “crimes of genocide committed by the Zionist enemy against the Palestinian people”.

Reaffirming the constancy of Tunisian diplomacy, he recalled that Tunisia remains attached to the right of the Palestinian people to recover all of its rights and to build its independent state on “all sovereign Palestine, with Jerusalem as capital”.
