The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, presented his apologies to his Qatari counterpart on Monday, September 29, September 29, September 29, following the Israeli attack having targeted Doha. According to a source close to the Israeli leader quoted by Reutersthe telephone exchange took place on Monday from the White House, where Netanyahu was received by US President Donald Trump.

The appeal addressed to the Prime Minister of Qatar, Cheikh Mohammad ben Abdelrahman al-Thani, took place on the sidelines of this meeting in Washington. Another source, aware of the discussions, said that a Qatari technical team was also on site. The information was first reported by the American site Axios.

This approach of appeasement occurs while the emir of Qatar, Cheikh Tamim Ben Hamad al-Thani, had vigorously condemned the previous week to the UN gallery, the Israeli strikes on his capital.

Qualifying the operation of “betrayal”, he had denounced an attack which targeted Hamas officials gathered in a residential complex in the heart of Doha.

“Unlike the statements of the Israeli Prime Minister, this attack is not a legitimate right to pursue terrorists,” he said, adding that it “undermines diplomatic efforts to put an end to the genocide against the people of Gaza”.
